South African Musician Beats Sheebah Karungi to MTV Award

A popular South African musician who goes by the names "Master KG" has taken something valuable from our very own Queen Sheebah.

Master KG won the MTV Europe Music award under the Best African Act category where Sheebah was also nominated over a month ago.

The award ceremony took on Sunday evening online meaning it was virtual as it is the norm with almost all events in this pandemic year of Corona.

Ugandans had put up quite some effort to vote Sheebah especially when her nomination had just been announced but due to heavy competition from other African musicians like Burna Boy, Rema (Nigeria), Gaz Mawete (DRC) and others, she could not win.

Master KG who took the award in the African Act category also on the other hand truly deserved it since he is no joking subject given that his Jerusalem song for which he was nominated is a worldwide hit, has over 200 million YouTube views and it is one of the most Shazamed songs in the world this year.

Other winners from the award ceremony include our usual international fellows like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Drake and the sensational BTS band from South Korea among others.
