On Saturday evening, at around 7pm, an accident incident happened at the home of Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
According to Police, Fred Kiweewa, a Subaru driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the residence of Lukwago, along Lukwago Road, Mango in Rubaga Division.
The accident that didn't claim a life left a One Mariam who was a passenger with minor injuries. She was later admitted to Mulago hospital for further management whereas Kiweewa the driver is currently being detained at Old Kampala Police station as investigations into the matter continue
According to the lord Mayor, his gate was forcefully flung open and badly damaged and the over speeding Subaru rammed into the pillar at the entrance to his sitting room!
"The huge bang shook the whole house and the children who were watching soccer in the sitting room stayed wailing. Luckily enough, the family is safe but some members are gripped by nervous shock" Lukwago said in a statement on social media.
He added that he is yet to understand the cause of this bizarre incident which badly ravaged his home.
