The Kings of Europe host The Bavarians

Real Madrid prepare to face Bayern Munich in the champions league, but this time its the second leg of the semi final. With the first leg ending as a 2-2 draw, every second of this match will be very exciting to watch as both teams are eager to progress through to the final. Real Madrid will have there home advantage but Bayern will have the drive and desire of needing to salvage what has been a terrible season.

Vinicius Junior scored twice for  Real Madrid with the first goal being assisted by Toni Kroos who placed a wonderful forward pass for Vinicius Junior through the Bayern defence, and the other goal was a penalty which Vinicius converted confidently against Manuel Neuer after  Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo inside the box.

Leroy Sane's fantastic near post finish and a calm penalty from Harry Kane brought the semi final first leg to an end with both teams having to settle for a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena.

After a wonderful 3-0 win against Cadiz, Carlo Ancelloti's Real Madrid were crowned Spanish Champions for the 36th time after witnessing Girona humiliate closest challengers Barcelona which ensured their name would be on the Laliga trophy once again. After securing the league title, Real Madrid's attention will be on adding another Champions League trophy to their cabinet to make them fifteen.

Bayern Munich are yet to even secure second place in the Bundesliga after they were defeated 3-1 by Stuttgart. Bayern have not kept a single clean sheet away from home in 2024 since their last encounter against Manchester United in December. Bayern's defensive missery continues as they have also never kept a clean sheet against Real Madrid and have never won a game against Carlo Ancelloti in all their nine previous meetings. No team has ever experienced a worse winless run against a particular manager in the Champions League.

Real Madrid celebrate the return of Thibaut Courtois from his second knee injury of the season and is set to replace Andriy Lunin in between the sticks. Dani Carvajal is also back from his European suspension and is expected to come back into the starting lineup. Real Madrid will only be without former Bayern Munich player David Alaba.

Matthijs de Ligt is on the brink of returning from a knee problem and could make the starting lineup. However Bayern will still be without a number of players such as Kingsley Coman, Bouna Sarr, Sacha Boey, Tarek Buchmann, Raphael Guerreiro and Noel Aseko Nkili.
