It seems like Pressure 24/7 is is in big trouble. News on our desk reveals that the Tik toker is still locked up after having been denied bail by the Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi.
All these woes started for Pressure 24/7 when he spoke harsh words against the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, President Yoweri Museveni and two other government officials in a series of videos that he recorded and posted via his Tik Tok account.
Pressure 24/7, born Ibrahim Musana has been denied bail because of the major reason that he would be untraceable if he is needed back for further questioning. According to the intel we have recieved, the biggest issue is that Pressure has no known permanent home, and according to Kayizzi, the Chief Magistrate in charge of this case, he could not release such a person who cannot be easily traced by police in case of further questioning since the case is still ongoing and he has not yet been proven innocent.
The Chief Magistrate explained that earlier on upon arrest, Pressure had informed police that he is a well known resident of Kauga village in Mukono district but yet to the Magistrate's shock and surprise, Pressure presented an LC1 introductory letter to court which was contradicting his own words as it indicated that he is a resident of Church Zone which is located in Najjanakumbi.
This prompted the area chairperson of Church Zone to disown Pressure, saying he is not a resident in their jurisdiction. This therefore, according to Kayizzi was enough confirmation of the suspicion they had that Pressure has no known address so he could easily disappear without a trace.
Further more, what makes everyone unsure of his true place of residence is that upon arrest, he was arrested from a hotel in Ntinda where he had spent two months.
This has prompted the court to deny his bail even when it is true that Pressure used the rightful means through his lawyer Rapheal Mafabi to apply for bail. It has also been noted that state prosecutor Richard Birivumbuka opposed the bail as well as his greatest suspicion arose from one of Pressure's sureties who was identified as Mr Ibrahim Ssembatya Matia. According to Birivumbuka, Mr. Ssembatya is also homeless and he lied in the courts of law about his residence being Muzaana Zone in Kisenyi.
Pressure 24/7 has therefore been sent back on remand to Luzira prison until March, 26, 2024, when he will reappear in court.
