Famous Ugandan TikToker Pressure 24/7, legally known as Ibrahim Musana, has finally secured bail. Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate, Ronald Kayizzi granted the Tiktok star temporary freedom on Monay morning, April 29.
It should be recalled that earlier this year, Buganda Kingdom came out and expressed deep concern regarding the frivolous, demeaning, malicious, and baseless publications and information that was circulating on social media platforms, particularly TikTok masterminded by Pressure 24 Seven.
These posts, shared under the username @Pressure_24/7 were firing live bullets at His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda, as well as several other esteemed individuals in the country, including the Katikkiro.
On February 13th, 2024, the Kingdom of Buganda took formal action by complaining at the CID Headquarters in Kibuli. The complaint was submitted to the CID Director, highlighting the misuse of social media, dissemination of malicious information, and the use of hate speech against the Kabaka of Buganda, the Katikkiro, and those who faithfully pledge their allegiance to the Kabaka of Buganda. A copy of the complaint was later provided.
In response to this grave matter, various security agencies, including the Police and Crime Intelligence, initiated thorough investigations. Through collaborative efforts, they successfully apprehended the individual, Musana Ibrahim, who is responsible for creating and sharing the malicious media clips that have been circulating on social media platforms.
Since then, Presure 24/7 has been trying to apply for a bail but all in vein. The latest on the grape vein indicates that court has approved a cash bail of Shs2m for Pressure 24/7, who was facing charges of offensive .Despite being in custody for over two months, Pressure’s eligibility for bail was determined by the constitution.
According to the video clip accessed by this website, Musana presented his two aunties as sureties, which the court accepted. This marked a significant development, as his previous sureties had not been approved.
The court’s decision to grant him bail was however followed with a strong warning. Pressure 24/7 was cautioned against using abusive and offensive language online.
The Magistrate went ahead and emphasized that any repetition of such behavior would lead to the cancellation of his bail and his return to prison
His case has garnered attention due to the controversial nature of Pressure 24/7’s TikTok content, which allegedly insulted high-ranking officials.
While the granting of bail provides temporary freedom for Pressure 24/7, he must strictly adhere to the court’s conditions to avoid further legal consequences. Petition of such behaviour would lead to the cancellation of his bail and his return to prison.
