Toni Kroos has been linked with returning back to Bayern Munich as his contract with Real Madrid expires in June this year.
Toni Kroos has ruled out returning to former club Bayern Munich as he heads into the final few months of his Real Madrid contract.
Toni Kroos has won twenty trophies with Real Madrid including three La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions League titles and three of which he won consecutively.
Apart from winning trophies with Real Madrid,
Kroos also won trophies with Bayern Munich during his seven year spell in Germany.
He won three Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal cups and 2012/13 UEFA Champions League.
Real Madrid is building around a next generation of players depending on him which include Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Endrick, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
He denied that Bayern Munich was his next destination when he was asked by reporters ahead of Real Madrid's Champion's league match with RB Leipzig .
"I expected a lot of questions about my future today, but not this one," he laughed. " I'm always very honoured when someone wants me on their team, regardless of whether that's even true. But in this case I can clearly say that's not going to happen."
Kroos added of his future plans and a potential contract extension in Madrid: "I always tell you the truth, and the truth is I don't know. I'm thinking about what I want to do. I haven't decided anything yet. It makes me happy that people want me to play one more year, that's better than the other way around, wanting me to stop!It depends on a lot of things.
"I want to end my career at the highest level possible. I'm enjoying the moment. I deserve a bit more time to take the decision, I want it to be the correct one. And the same for the national team. I'm thinking about it, but like with my renewal, I don't know."
He also hinted at a possible return to the German national side ahead of Euro 2024, confirming he was "thinking about it" having retired from the international arena in 2021.
