On Sunday 5, May 2024, a nasty incident unfolded at the just concluded zzina carnival, involving fast paced singer Musigazi Abdul Aziz alias Vyroota fainting midway through his performance.
Organised by the Kansanga based radio station 100.2 Galaxy fm, the long waited carnival went down at Buloba Forest Park.
The event started as early as mid day and it attracted hundreds of pleasure seekers from various corners of Kampala and the neigboring districts.
By 6pm, revellers had already filled up the venue enjoying the entertainment from Galaxy FM presenters and super talented Djs.
The carnival also featured a long list of Ugandan performjng artists such as Kim Bella, Vinka, Gravity Omutujju, Cindy Sanyu, Acidic vokoz, Recho Rey, Jowy landa, Pretty Banks, Alien Skin, Vyroota to mention but a few.
Regrettably, singer Vyroota's energetic performance was cut short when he collapsed and fell on stage, prompting event organizers to quickly assist him offstage.
In a short video clip accessed by this website, the singer could be seen being transported by ambulance for further medical evaluation and treatment.
The exact cause of Vyrota’s collapse remains unknown at this time, but updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
Despite the heartbreaking turn of events, the carnival continued with the remaining scheduled performances, but the atmosphere was noticeably subdued as fans and artists alike were concerned about Vyrota’s health.
Fans and fellow musicians expressed their concern and well wishes for Vyroota on social media, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Many were shocked and saddened by the incident, as Vyrota is known for his energetic performances and strong stage presence.
By time of compiling this article, Vyroota had not come out to give any update regarding his health status. However, Galaxy fm took to its socials to give assurance to Vyroota's fans that medics are doing whatever it takes to see him back on fit.
