Yesterday the appointments committee screened the members of the new cabinet both via zoom and in presence. The first to be screened were newly appointed Prime minister Rt. Hon Robbinah Nabbanja and newly appointed Vice president Rt. Hon Jessica Alupo.
The two were present at Kololo and the committee headed by the speaker commenced. Butambala MP Muhammed Kateregga moved a motion suggesting the screening of cabinet ministers be done by the whole parliament which was denied by the vice speaker.
Among the other screened cabinet members were ministers for education, health Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni and Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng respectively.
First deputy prime minister Hon Rebecca Kadaga and second deputy prime minister Hon. Moses Ali were also screened. Minister for portfolio in the prime minister's office Hon. Kasule Lumumba was also screened.
All the screened members vowed to serve Ugandans in the 11th term diligently and as always, asked the almighty to help them fulfill their tasks.
