Musician Weasel has confirmed his elder brother Humphrey Mayanja is battling cancer related illness.
Weasel made the revelation through an interview with a local television, He explained Humphrey is back in the country for better supervision from his parents.
"It’s true Humphrey is not well. He is suffering from cancer. It’s a trying moment for us and the entire family, especially mom who is also having her own sicknesses.“ he partly said.
Humphrey Mayanja is the elder brother to Jose Chameleon, Weasel and Pallaso. He has been battling cancer related illness since last year.
He has been living in America for all the time we have known him but Weasel confirmed he is back in the country for better management by his parents.
Weasel in the same interview revealed he is in talks with Lilian Mbabazi.
He explained they always meet and he shares the bond with Radio's kids because he is one of their uncle's.
"I don't have any problem with Lilian Mbabazi and we are always meeting and cheering one another. I last meant him at the federation and shared a lot and I see the kids because I am there uncle." he said.
Weasel also confirmed he will be walking down the aisle with girlfriend Sandra Tetta.
Weasel confirmed in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
He explained they are in plans and soon invitation letters will be going around for his big day.
He believes Sandra is the woman who will give him longtime freedom and one who loves him wholeheartedly.
"Soon I will be letting you all know on the plans of the wedding but it is going to take place this year. Invitation cards will be reaching you. She is the woman of my life." he said in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
Weasel and Sandra Tetta share over two children together.
Weasel, whose birth name is Douglas Mayanja, began his musical journey as an independent artist, releasing solo projects under his elder brother's Leone island. However, it was his collaboration with Jose Chameleone on the track "Bomboclat" that caught the attention of audiences and marked the beginning of his rise in the music industry
He then teamed up with Radio to form the Goodlyfe crew, the dynamic duo of Ugandan music, captured the hearts of audiences with their unique blend of smooth R&B, reggae, ragga, and dancehall vibes.
In a devastating turn of events, Radio's life was cut short on February 1, 2018, when he succumbed to brain injuries sustained during an assault by a bouncer at a club in Entebbe. The loss of Radio was a tremendous blow to the music industry and his fans worldwide. Weasel, now the sole director and CEO of the Goodlyfe Crew, faced the challenge of continuing their musical legacy while honoring his fallen partner.
