In what can be termed as a shocking revelation, dance hall star singer Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel Manizo’s partner Sandra Teta has said that their children speak exclusively English.
According to Sandra, her decision to teach them only the English Language yet they are around people that speak Luganda and other languages was informed by several reasons.
In a candid interview with NTVJournalist as well as renowned YouTuber Ruth Kalibala, Weasel Manizo's wife claims her children actually do not understand any other language. She said her and Weasel sat down and chose that for them.
She elaborated that young kids who can’t speak English are funny to her and she can’t stand her children being like that.
Sandra said she also grew up speaking English and learnt other languages old. If her children are interested, they will have to learn the languages by themselves.
"Our children only speak English not any other language. We chose to teach them that because other languages will be learnt when they are old. It is funny to me when I hear young children can’t speak English,” she said in a video clip accessed by this website.
The couple shares three kids and whenever they appear in public, they are seen speaking exclusively English rather than any local language.
Meanwhile, the two lovebirds have been dating since 2018, when Teta Sandra decided to relocate to Kampala for greener pastures.
Sandra Teta became a public figure back in 2011, when she contested for Miss SFB.
she also got to be known by many for organising fashion shows, debates in secondary schools in Rwanda and is credited for being the brains behind Miss Rwanda beauty pageant which was suspended recently following sexual harassment allegations.
Before dating Weasel, Sandra dated Miss Rwanda orgazation boss Ishimwe Dieudonne alias Prince Kid who is now detained for allegations of sexual harassment against Miss Rwanda contestants.
Just like any other couple, Weasel and Sandra's relationship has had several ups and downs.
For instance in In August 2022, the Weasel and Teta long standing relationship grabbed news headlines in the region after allegations of battering his lover (Sandra Teta).
The news made rounds following a video of Weasel storming a bar with their children whilst claiming that she was not being a responsible mother to their children.
Social media posts and rumors spread revealed how the two had a misunderstanding and these were followed by photos showing Sandra Teta with a bruised up face and returning to her home country Rwanda.
Despite these allegations, Teta denied being beaten by Weasel and claimed she had been attacked by thieves who stole some of her possessions after a night out.
However, Teta’s story was not bought by her parents who then flew to Uganda and took her with them back to Rwanda, together with her children
Eight months later, the two settled their rekindled their relationship and they are currently living together.
