A woman who has been identified as Promise Nshabohurira aged 32 years was gang raped and murdered in cold blood in Kabale. The police is hunting for the murderes as they are still at large and they are still unknown.
On Saturday at 7:00 am it is alleged that the mother to Promise known as Adrine Kankundiye left home when her daughter was in good condition but upon returning home at 7:00pm , her daughter was away. She reports that she waited upon her return in vain so she went to sleep. On Sunday at 7:00 am it is said she received news about the death of her daughter who was found dead by the roadside.
Elly Máate, the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson says Police at Katuna was notified by the area chairperson and they immediately went to visit the scene and begin body examination.
It is reported that Promise was found lying in a pool of blood, knickers torn, private parts with injuries and her blouse raisee above her armpit to her breasts, all which suggested rape before being murdered.
