Ziza Bafana explained that musicians do not in actual sense release vulgar music but rather they release music and Ugandans that have vulgar minds interpret it that way.

The debate about musicians singing vulgar music is still burning up as a few musicians have entirely washed their hands clean off the accusations of being vulgar in their music.

According to Ziza Bafana, he has never released any music that is vulgar ever since he joined the Ugandan music industry. While in a sitting with Sanyuka TV, he explained that musicians do not in actual sense release vulgar music but rather they release music and Ugandans that have vulgar minds interpret it that way.

He therefore hurled all he blame on the perception of music lovers, stating that the way they perceive the music is vulgar because this is an entirely vulgar generation and even when musicians act innocently, music lovers will perceive their songs in a vulgar way, simply because this is what they want to hear.

“We do not have vulgar music. It is your minds that are vulgar. Have you ever heard me singing vulgar music? When? The generation today is very vulgar and even when as a musician I release a simple song, you will interpret it the way you want, kill my message as an artiste, replace it with yours and claim that I am vulgar. No, it is you that is vulgar.” He boldly stated.

When tasked to state the meaning of his famous song dubbed Ensolo, Bafana asked what the vulgar word was in that song. He further went on to sing an entire verse from the song, citing that he was talking about farming of animals so if any Ugandan picked a different kind of animal, there is no way that is his fault.

He also tackled his song “Embuzi zakutudde" stating that if no one knows what a goat is, they should attack him but he is sure every one has seen a goat before.

“How many goats do you know? I talked about that animal called a goat with four legs. Which other goat have you ever seen?” he questioned.

In regards to his music videos that have been called extreme, Ziza Bafana had a lot to talk about. He was always accused of filming videos with nearly clothe less women shaking what their momma gave them. According to Ziza, there is nothing wrong with his videos however.

He stated that even when people are watching boxing matches, as another round is being announced, women in skimpy clothing walk around with placards  to announce a new round while very many people of status are watching because that is the type of clothing that fits the occasion.

“Look at boxing matches. They are watched by everyone. Even Presidents. When a round ends, you have seen women announcing the next round. How do they dress up? Do you think people watching these matches have no common sense?” he stated.

He further went ahead to mention that there is fashion meant for every occasion for instance you wont find anyone dressed like a nun at the swimming pool so that should never be an excuse to call musicians vulgar.
