Annet Anita Among, the speaker of Parliament recently came out and expressed fear for life.
Among, called out concerned agencies to interfere into her matter of a plot to assassinate her. This followed the fleeing of her body guard ADC ASP Aggrey Aruho to the United States affiliating himself to an entourage led by Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa who had moved to the states for the UNAA convention!
Word around the August house and power sources revealed that Speaker Among's junior, Thomas Tayebwa had a direct role in the escape of Aruho with claims that Tayebwa together with his secretary Louis Bakyenga cleared his US Visa application!
Contrary to these reports, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa distanced from the claims saying she is in good terms with her superior and had no hand in the exit of her top guard!
"The speaker has given me all the necessary support I need as her Deputy, we are soo close and she treats me as a brother" Tayebwa said. He further added that they met the security chiefs to see how to beef up the speakers security following the death threats.
