Musician Bebe Cool really fell out of favor with not only music lovers but also other musicians after he woke up and chose to indulge in politics, more so on the side of the regime.
The truth is, very many young artistes today are in favor of musician turned politician Bobi Wine so everyone that falls under the ruling party is ousted at once. Bobi Wine is considered as one of the most influential musicians as he can influence various music lovers in Uganda.
Due to his influence, Bobi Wine has earned himself a nick name “masanyalaze" which is loosely translated to electricity. This is because whichever artiste backs up his tree is ensured of more success than one that goes against him.
King Saha is one of the musicians that are highly in favor of Bobi Wine and this is something he has never kept hidden from netizens as well as his fans. King Saha believes that Bobi is the kind of leader that everyone needs as he knows the exact woes of the people he is representing. Now this is contrary to what Bebe Cool believes.
The recent clash between King Saha and Bebecool is majorly because of the post that King Saha stated via his Facebook. As he was expected to perform in Bukomansimbi – Bulenge, his concert was cancelled majorly because it was suspected that he would take Bobi Wine with him in Bukomansimbi.
Saha showed disappointment in police, stating that everyone should support the political party of their choice but he is being limited all because he supports National Unity Platform and he is in good terms with Opposition leader Bobi Wine.
“While other artists like baby cool are free to take part in the activities of their favorite political groups, the police has cancelled my concert which was to take place today in Bukomansimbi-Bulenge. They say I might bring Bobi Wine with me. What a shame!” Stated Saha
In retaliation, Bebe Cool did not sit still given that his name was dragged into this rant by King Saha. Bebe Cool came out and mentioned that Saha has now started seeing exactly who has more power than the other and it is definitely him and no body else.
“I thought you went to look for masanyalaze. Now finally I hope you now know who has the masanyalaze. The BIG baby cool.” Bebe Cool responded via his Facebook page.
Even when Bebe Cool is no longer a people's favorite all because of his political party affiliations, he still stands his ground and refuses to back away from NRM. While many musicians have tasted the waters and run back to NUP, Bebe still holds his head high in his choice of political affiliation.
