The IGG George Bamugemerire has officially told NUP president Robert Kyangulanyi to declare his armored car to the office of the IGG starting from today .
According to the leadership code act, section 10, any leader in government or opposition ought to declare all his property and businesses.
If undeclared, the government will take over that property and own it.
Furthermore, the IGG said that if it is a gift or donation, he has to fill forms on how he got it and who awarded it to him
It is estimated that the armoured car cost around 1.4 billion Uganda shillings.
Robert Kyangulanyi has been given until 31st March 2021 to declare this car.
If he fails, the law will take its course and we are yet to see how things will turn out in April.
