Despite the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in January 2020, they still had full profiles up on the website alongside the rest of the royal family.
Today, the pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well as their biographies briefly vanished completely.
In half an hour, they were replaced with a significantly smaller joint biography at the very bottom of the page below the Duke of York.
Prince Harry's former original profile described him as fifth in line to the throne and younger son of The King and Diana, Princess of Wales.
His biography was a 2700 word count profile that talked about details of his early life, education, his army career and was blessed with glossy pictures. It also gave his history of his work setting up the Invictus Games, children with HIV/AIDS and sporting initiatives. His African conversation and joint work on the mental health Heads Together Initiative with the Prince and Princess of Wales was also mentioned.
The biography included an entire section entitled ‘Supporting the Monarch’ which included Harry's time as a working royal for his late grand mother, Queen Elizabeth.
On the other hand, Meghan’s former biography was a 1300 word count profile that talked about her education and career as an actress plus the charitable engagements she undertook during her brief time as the member of the Royal family.
Now those are biographies only history shall know of. Currently after the official website of Buckingham Palace has been updated, the couple now shares a joint biography showing a picture of them arm in arm on a beach in South Africa with a combined word count of just 577 words.
The new profile talks about Harry's birth and upbringing, his career in the armed forces and work in the Invictus Games in few words as it is noticed by the people.
Meghan's biography now includes that she was an actress and that she ran a website as well as her patronages as a working royal.
Their entry begins with how Harry and Meghan stepped back as working royals and ends with the official statements of Buckingham Palace in 2020 and 2021. They provide a link to the couple's website of the Sussex.com which is seen as an act of Grace from the royal family.
Despite the growing public anger at the Sussexes continued inclusion, Buckingham Palace has always side stepped questions about why the couple's details remained online after them quitting royal duties four years ago and launching repeated attacks on the royal family in print and Television interviews.
Now, the Buckingham Palace has made its move with the new updates.
