If we are to consider form, Chelsea are currently the fourth best team in the Premier league due to their fantastic performances in recent fixtures.

Brighton had some moments of dominance in the game but they couldn't match Chelsea's quality in attack. Cole Palmer scored a terrific header and Christopher Nkunku came off the bench to replace injured Mykhailo Mudryk and scored.

Referee Michael Salisbury seemed to be the busiest man on the field in the opening 15 minutes of the game due to the many fouls that were being committed. One of the decisions made by the referee was to award Chelsea an early penalty after Cucurella was brought down by Facundo Buonanotte in the box but it was cancelled after a VAR review.
Cucurella later assisted Cole Palmer who scored with a magnificent header into the top corner. The headed goal was Cole Palmer's 25th goal of the campaign.
Brighton were close to equalizing in the first half but unfortunately Pedro's header ended up hitting the cross bar. There claim of a penalty was also turned down in the second half after Simon Adingra had been challenged by Malo Gusto.
Chelsea's victory against Brighton makes it four wins in a row for Mauricio Pochetino's side while Brighton continue their four game winless run.
