Following the choas of throwing plastic bottles at artistes caused by fans during several conncerts, Uganda Police Force headed by Martin Okoth Ochola threatened to block music concerts if artistes continued to be pelted with water bottles.
For your information a number of artistes, including Full Figure, Catherine Kusasira and Big Eye were given a serious run for their money being pelted with water bottles and hastily evacuated from stage and some like Big Eye rushed to hospital.
Enanga on Monday of this very week ( 27th Jan, 2020)was then forced into a rush decision assigning event organisers to enormously invest in research before thinking of organising shaky concerts.
Event organisers should fully be conscious of musicians not wanted by the public and shouldn't even think of inviting them for concerts. Secondly event organisers should provide a stuffed report indicating security needed basing on the number of people they expect to receive and if they fail to follow the provided guidelines, in future we will not allow concerts," Enanga Threatened.
However, dissatisfied Event organiser and promoter Abtex refuted all these threats. This clearly insinuates that the police has failed to do its work because we Event organisers can't predict the number of people we to receive.Budgeting for police agents needed is totally their work, Abtex alias Abbey Musinguzi griefed.
