The Uganda National Musician Federation (UNMF) president Edirisa Musuza better identified as Eddy Kenzo has finally come out of his comfort zone to dispel allegations of acquiring a new and super high end SUV.
For the past seven days, rumors have been making rounds suggesting how Eddy Kenzo splashed large chunks of money on himself and imported in a luxurious ride.
This was after the self proclaimed young Mandela being spotted driving the black 2023 model Cadillac Escalade V on the streets of Kampala city.
Rumors spread like world fire to the extent that notable print media houses in the country like Bukedde newspaper, a subsidiary of Vision group picked up the story and published it a few days ago.
According to estimations, the ride in question costs over Shs 900 million with taxes included.
On Saturday, March 23, the Big talent boss took to his social media handles and watered down the reports that he bought the luxurious car, noting that he wished he had one.
Kenzo also expressed his dismay with Bukedde newspaper which outed the report on its front page, reminding them of how they had also falsely reported in the past that he had constructed a new mansion in Kampala.
The paper had also earlier reported that UNMF members bitterly felt over money, a thing that left Eddy Kenzo fuming.
The numberless Escalade was first seen picking up Miss Uganda Hannah Karema from Entebbe International Airport about 10 days ago, upon her return from India where she participated in the Miss World 2024, and emerged among the Top 8 beauty queens.
It was reported then that Kenzo facilitated her heroic return.
The Escalade, whose owner remains a mystery, is undoubtedly one of the most expensive rides roaming Kampala streets.
