Angella Katatumba, a popular local celebrity and Ugandan musician has been recently under fire for doing nothing.
Well not nothing in the sense, but she has done nothing wrong as far as we know. It all started with her hit song Tonelabila that is currently one of the hottest songs in Uganda at the moment.
Before releasing that song, people mocked her for her age and how she was dating a younger man, producer Daddy Andre. So when she announced a song was going to be released by the two lovers at that time, it received backlash as people were still in disagreement over small matters like age.
A few weeks later when the national lock down had just been put in place , Katatumba released the song's video and by this time the audio was already trending on different media across the country.
This is when people including the haters realized that a massive song collaboration had been released by the two lovers. The song earned itself a spot in the list of most hitting songs in 2020 so far.
So currently, Angella is shooting the video for her new song with Kent and Flosso a music duo belonging to Voltage music. During the shoot, she took some photos and posted them online hours later.
This is where she received continuous hate from Ugandans already frustrated with lockdown. The post that caught most people's attention is one where she was down on the floor with money and alcohol in front of her while an open-door car was situated behind.
Many people said that she is too old to be doing that, lol as if they know what singer Jenifer Lopez does at her age ????.
Others talked about her wealth, mbu she's just a spoilt rich kid and wants to put her money in our faces.
Others even said that she lacks self esteem, mbu if her music is doing well, then why does she need to show off like that.
So jealousy kept flying everywhere ???? in the comments section however on the lighter side a one Bianca Sulaisha Baldez defended the female musician and had this to say ;
Take a chill pill, That's her new music video with voltage music, all yah busy hating on everything you see cz your frustration levels shoot every min let the happy ones be en work on your frustration
So not everyone if against her, it's just about being Ugandan, the non appreciating bit comes by nature ????????.
