Manchester United's Champions League journeytook yet another turn after suffering a 4-3 deafeat to Danish side FC Copenhagen last Wednesday.
United opened the scoreline in the first half, thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's goals in the 3rd and 28th minute respectively. The visitors seemed to have a smooth run until the 38th minute when Marcus Rashford got sent off after receiving his second yellow of the night.
Copenhagen utilized the 10man advantage and before the whistle blew to end the first half, the game was 2-2, thanks to goals from Eylonoussi (45minute0 and Diogo Goncalves' penalty which he scored in the 9th minute of added time.
United had the took the lead again in the 69th minute after captain Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty but this wasn't enough as the hosts kept knocking on Manchester United's door.
In the dying minutes of the second half, Copenhagen equalized through Lerager who scored in the 83rd minute. 4minutes later, Bardghji sealed the hosts' win, making the match 4-3 and totally shattering United's hopes of qualifying for the Round of 16.
United after yesterday's loss sit bottom of group A with only 3points after 4games, with Bayern Munich who already qualified after their win against Galatasaray at 12points toping the group. Copenhagen and Galatasaray are 2nd and 4th repectively each with 4points.
Manchester United's remaining two games are against FC Bayern Munich and Galatasary and these are MUST win games if the English side is to have any more hopes of qualifying to the next round or head into the Europa league.
