Government eyeing opposition MPs with too much wealth
    • August 6, 2021 • 4 years ago

During the swearing in of parliamentary committee chairpersons and representatives, the prime minister Rt. Hon. Robbinah Nabbanja reminded members present that the government knows very many opposition MPs who have amassed too much welath over the years but they(the government) don't know where such wealth is accumulated.

"Many of you MPs are aware of the dubious acts opposition MPs do on the different committees to accumulate wealth. Many of these are overwhelm ingly wealthy and the government is well aware of this. Be rest assured that we're are following the matter closely and very soon we'll identify them one by one." said Hon. Nabbanja.

This was one of her points raised as she vowed to completely erase corruption from different government offices. This however raised different opinions both fro the opposition and the general public, where many seemed disturbed by the prime minister's move, saying she should first handle the ruling party memmbers whose record for swindling tax payers' money is well known.

Do you agree with the Prime Minister's move? Will it really be fruitful? Should she first hunt for those in the government? Or she should first send you that 'Nabbanja' money?
