In a heartfelt interview with Spark Tv Uganda, she revealed that Vinka used to be her backup singer before she was discovered by Swangz Avenue, a renowned music label in Uganda.
Jackie also shared her pride in Vinka's accomplishments, likening it to witnessing a child grow into a successful individual.
“I wouldn’t want to call her my backup dancer but rather a colleague. We teamed up long ago and worked together. Vinka was someone eager to learn and very hardworking. That’s why we lasted longer together. I was star-struck seeing her joining me on stage although I had followed her for quite long. It’s like giving birth to a child and watching them grow into something beautiful,” she said.
The concert, which was organized by Talent Africa Group, also featured performances from other artists, including Weasel and Lydia Jazmine. The event was attended by many A-listers in the music industry, including musicians, producers, and music promoters.
Despite her numerous shows in the countryside, Jackie admitted that she was nervous about returning to such a grand stage for their reunion concert. However, she clarified that Blu*3 concerts may not be an annual occurrence, but they will continue as long as there is financial support.
