Nottingham Forest released Lingard last summer but he managed to go for personal training to adapt fitness as this exposed him to be approached by various football clubs from various leagues though he has decided to go far East.
The Korea league are warmly interested in welcoming Jesse Lingard to their league as FC Seoul ties with him to join their team with the head coach Kim Gi-dong telling BBC Sport.
"I heard about it two to three weeks ago and I thought it was unrealistic. I asked our director of football about it and he replied to me yes it's true we are in contact with the player but the deal is not confirmed yet. If he comes, of course, it would be great for K-league as more foreign fans would be interested in our league. And if he comes as he was not playing for a while, we need to give him time to adapt rather than expect an instant impact.”
Lingard has been on developing his fitness through his personal training programme without a club. This brought attention of Paul Scholes as he told him to" focus on football not hitting the gym."
Lingard will travel to South Korea next week on Monday as the medical team prepare to carry on tests on him so as he can join his team mates in Kagoshima with a contract already waiting for his signature.
