Uganda premier league giants KCCA were yesterday knocked out of the CAF confederation tournament by Rwanda club AS Kigali at St. Mary's Kitende stadium.
Despite having won the second leg 3-1, thanks to a hat-trick from youngster Brian Ahebwa, the hosts got knocked due to an away goals rule.
It should be noted that KCCA lost the first leg to the Rwanda club in a controversial manner, when they went to Kigali with an incomplete team and also two of its players ended up testing positive for covid-19.
CAF in turn awarded AS Kigali a 2-0 win, meaning they played yesterday's game already two goals upfront. Their one away goal made the game 3-3 at full time and it was also the reason for their qualification, as per the rules. Hard luck to KCCA boys and congratulations to AS Kigali.
