If all goes well, we could soon be setting eyes on a new international star and that will be none other than our own Karole Kasita. As we speak, she is eargerly (put emphasis on that eagerly) anticipating a collaboration with Nigerian star and diva Tiwa Savage. Tiwa Savage, real name Tiwatope Savage-Balogun, arrived in Uganda on Thursday afternoon ahead of her concert slated for Friday, which was yesterday.
During the press conference held at Sheraton Hotel, Tiwa Savage met with a couple of Ugandan singers including the excited Karole Kasita, Sandra Suubi, Laika, Lamu, among others. As the norm is, the Question and Answer session begun and local comedian Patrick Salvado took his chance and asked if Tiwa Savage would fancy the chance to work with the Ugandan artists in a collabo or something. Guess what? It was a yes from her, most especially in regards with Karole Kasita.
"If the logistics are fulfilled, and all expenses are met, there is no reason I wouldn’t do a song with her (Karole) and all the other Ugandan stars,” Tiwa Savage replied.
Immediately after this enticing statement, Karole’s face was lit with excitement. She could not hide her joy as her eyes danced around her orbits. Nothing could wipe the wide smile off her face as she was allegedly mouthing for Tiwa Savage to pick on her. Maybe it was just a silent prayer right? When asked what the title of their song would be if they ever hit studio together, Karole Kasita quickly replied, “Strong Woman!”
The Ugandan diva gave an explanation by revealing how Tiwa is a strong woman who has used her fame to empower fellow women. Karole then later met with Tiwa and they were seen exchanging a few words, supposedly tips on how they can make the collaboration work, before posing for photos together. Go big gurl go big gurl. We await the magic.
