Even when there were no clear results from the UMA Presidency elections, Musician King Saha certainly believes he is the ordained leader of all the musicians in Uganda. The elections were allegedly sabotaged in order to deny him a chance at leadership, something he is unwilling to accept.
In an interview, King Saha mentioned that he believes he is the leader of all musicians in Uganda, a position which is currently held by Cindy Sanyu who also seems unwilling to stop being the President of the Uganda Musicians Association.
Further confusion ensued when the Musicians Federation was also introduced .This caused a lot of chaos amidst musicians as they all scrambled to look for a side to lean towards. This left Saha hanging in mid air as Cindy continued being the leader of the association amidst the saga of division amongst musicians.
Speaking in an interview with a local television , Saha explained that he had won the elections, but his victory was cancelled by powerful individuals whose immense influence had him overshadowed. According to him, their power was too immense that he even referred to them as "mafias." However, Saha maintains that he has not given up on the position, and he is determined to regain his authority.
Saha further mentioned that he still views himself as the leader of the musicians in the Country.
"I am the President of all musicians in Uganda because I was elected as the UMA President. My victory was simply overturned by the mafia, but I know that musicians recognize me as their President, and I am focused on reclaiming my powers," he said.
