Kyagulanyi warns party members against acts of violence and corruption
    • December 7, 2021 • 3 years ago

National Unity Platform (NUP) party leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu earlier today met with the party leaders at different levels from MPs to councilors at the party headquarters in Kamwokya to discuss a number of pending issues.

Kyagulanyi requested the members in attendance not to hold him as a mighty figure because that is what them as NUP are fighting, but rather look at him as a leader and learn from him while they also be servants of the people.

"We promised people that we are going to be servant leaders, so you too should do the same.Like how I'm your servant, you should as well be servants of those that are below you. That's is the only way we're going to give Ugandans confidence that this is their country and we're just their servants" said Kyagulanyi.

He went on to call upon the members to work hard to create a distinction between them and the government of President Museveni. "They are going to lure you into corruption scandles and then later put you in the public. We need to create a difference from them." He added.

This all transpired while he was meeting most of the leaders from Makindye Division who were led by the division mayor Mulyanyama Ali to sort out the wrangles infested among the party members in the division. NUP holds the biggest number of members among the opposition parties at almost all levels of leadership and question has always been if they'll be able to stay strong amidst a corruption filled playground,
