Last week, a source alleged to News Nation that Bruno Mars, 38, owed millions to the hospitality empire, MGM, and he said the resort basically owns him.
MGM Resorts has recently denied these rumors saying that Bruno Mars does not owe them any $50 million in a gambling debt as the insider had said.
“We are proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world's most thrilling and dynamic performers. From his shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, Bruno's brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the globe,” the company told The Post in a statement.
The company describes its relationship with Bruno as a longstanding one and that they respect whatever comes with the relationship.
“MGM and Bruno's partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM.
Together we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
When The Post reached out to Bruno Mars to hear out his comment about all this, it was brought into record that he reportedly makes $90 million in his current deal with MGM where by he earns $1.5 million in a night. This deal he holds with MGM started in 2016 where the company confirmed that the ‘Grenade’ artist was talented and that they saw a good future with him.
Why a rumor about Bruno owing this company such big money in a gambling debt was no surprise is because he himself revealed that he used to play poker to pay his rent before his music career kicked off.
He made this known to the world in 2016 on James Corden’s now cancelled ‘Late Late Show’ when he said that for a little while he did play poker after Corden had asked him about how he fonded for himself before he became an international success.
The 15 time Grammy winner is indeed a big hit for him to actually be on a debt with a company. He was going to present for the Israelites before he had to actually cancel the concert due to the ongoing rift between Israel and Gaza.
The money to those who had paid for the tickets to the concert was to be refunded according to how it was paid.
Otherwise, Bruno Mars and MGM are just on a deal that is going on well but not an actual debt payment like the insider had said.
