He (Casemiro) put on a great performance and ended up winning Man of The Match. New signing Soufyan Amrabat also put on a great show, not forgetting Mason Mount and youngstars Hannibal and Garnacho.

The two North London teams Arsenal and Chelsea also qualified for the 4th round last night, winning their games 1-0 respectively. The gunners saw off Brentford thanks to an early goal from Nelson. Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson scored in the 51st minute to give The Blues their first goal in September.

Liverpool won 3-1 against Leichester having trailed 1-0 at half-time. Goals from Dutchmand Coady Gapko, new signing Dominic Szoboszlai and an 89th one from Diogo Jota sealed off the win and secured Liverpool's 4th round spot.

On the hand, reigning treble winners Manchester City suffered a 1-0 loss to last year's finalists Newcastle and bowed out of the tournament. Aleksander Isak's strike at the start of the second half was enough for the Magpies to see off the Citizens.
