Maurice Kirya questions the services of human rights commission
    • January 20, 2021 • 4 years ago

The current situation in the country of political unrest, intimidations, arrests, killings and threats has seen rare celebrities come out to talk about the acts.

The recent celebrity to question the actions of the state organs is soul music singer, actor and Business man Maurice Kirya. The Mwoyo album maker had not been so vocal about the nation's issues until of late, when he went to Twitter and expressed his views about human rights.

"Uganda Human  Rights Commission? I honestly didn't think they existed, are they aware of the many human rights violations that have become a normalcy in Uganda? Where are those statements?" Read Kirya's tweet.

Well, incase you're wondering what other "silent" celebrities have raised their voices, veteran songbird Juliana Kanyomozi also ce out earlier and posted on her social media about the current state of fellow musician-cum politician Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine.
