Last evening, Nigerian singer Chiké, real names Chiké Ezekpeazu Osebuka thrilled his Ugandan fans for the very first time ever.
In a concert dubbed A Night With Chiké, the Boo of the Booless Album singer stunned his Ugandan music fans at the Kampala Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall. Doors were opened by 6pm for the resellers to settle in although the show was sold out by mid day and no tickets were sold at the entrance.
Few minutes past 7pm, the official MCs of the night Tracy Kababiito and Timoth Code came on stage and kickstarted the show by calling upon DJ Spinny who was the official Deejay to grace the crowd with some great mixes. Curtain raiser performances came thereafter with Allan Toniks, Naava Grey, Zulitums, Daddy Andre and Levixone singing for the audience thereby setting pace for the Nigeria singer.
Chiké, the main act of the night stepped on stage at 10:30pm amid cheers from the already hyped up crowd. He kickstarted his performance with a tribute to Moses Radio. He sang Radio & Weasle’s “Breath Away” as his first song on stage something that got him connected to the fans in the house at the very start.
Chiké went on to perform his other songs with his tender voice amid the exciting Fenon events well set lighting and sound. Upon leaving stage, many of Chike’s fans were still yearning for more. They were later treated to an after party with DJs Ssesse, Fem & Spinny mixing music all night long.
