Since the begining of this week, word has been going around of how schools are set to resume in two weks time and both parents and learners should start preparing. This was, like many other stories was received with mixed reactions from the public, where many seemed to be in agreement while others seemed to think otherwise.
While the vaccination of teachers is ongoing, which is believed to be the only workable solution if schools are to re-open, the tabloids have since revealed that P.1, P.2, P.3 for primary and S.1, S.2. S.3 for secondary are to resume.
While addressing the media, Ministry of Education spokesperson Mr. Denis Mugimba came out to clarify on the ongoing rumors about the re-opening of schools.
"The rumored days for the re-opening of schools being circulated on social media are false and they're not coming from the ministry. It is only the president who's mandated to re-open schools. Please disregard the ongoing rumors." Said Mr. Denis.
He went on to clarify that the only students allowed to resume learning are the medical interns who are sitting their final exams, not all learning institutions. So, whoever sold you that 'lugambo' about schools resuming in two weeks, you better go back for your money.
