    • January 26, 2021 • 4 years ago

Yesterday, a court order was given to the police to vacate the home of musician and Politician Bobi Wine.

The home arrest that has happened since 14th of January where Bobi Wine and Barbie had been refused to leave their premises.

Claims were made by the police that they planned on carrying out illegal demonstrations and this home arrest was a preventative measure.

    Tweet made by Bobi Wine.

The police yesterday had said they would leave the premises but keep surveillance on him.

Today, news reaching us is the police is still around and refusing the NUP president to leave his home despite the court order.

Do our courts of law still hold power or are they there for beauty?

Is the police undermining the court orders from the third arm of the government, the judiciary?

Does the executive hold more power the the courts of law?

All these are questions we are waiting to get answers to.
