    Presidential campaigns suspended.
    • December 26, 2020 • 4 years ago

Physical presidential campaigns have been suspended by the electoral Commission.

This has been done due to the drastic increase in the number of corona virus cases in Uganda.

All political parties are expected to use other means to communicate to their voters other than the usual physical means.

The areas in which the campaigns have been suspended include Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Jinja, Kabarole, Mbarara among others.

These suspensions apply to the presidential candidates, Member of Parliament candidates and other political positions on which people shall vote come 2021.

It is also known that physical campaigns were meant to end on 30th December, 2020.
