Rumors were spreading a month back but today in a press conference, managing director Eziekel Motosoeneng has confirmed the close of Record TV.
15 years of being in business and Record TV has permanently said goodbye to the media industry.
The reason behind this was because they weren't getting enough funds from European sponsers who were affected by COVID-19.
Record TV is a Brazilian owned tv that had branches in Uganda.
Furthermore, the shareholders decided that they weren't getting the required air play in Uganda and found better interests and investments.
It's employees have been paid for extra three months as they look for work in this hard time.
Furthermore, certain terms have been settled between employees and bosses so that they are both in agreement.
However, Record radio is to remain in service.
