    SC Villa's in-form striker Charles Bbaale gets first time national team selection as Uganda Cranes prepares to take on Algeria in the CAF qualifiers

    Uganda Cranes is set to play one of Afriaca's giants, Algeria on June 18th, in Duala - Cameroon. The Cranes will play host to Algeria, given the Mandela National Stadium is currently under renovation.

    This is a must win game for the cranes, if they want to make their chances of qualifying for the CAF championship brighter. Uganda Cranes currently sits in 3rd place in group F, with 4points and Algeria is leading with 12points.

    Earlier on today, Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic released a 42 man preliminary squad to begin preparations for the Algeria game. Among the selected is SC Villa's in-form striker, Chalres Bbaale. This is Bbaale's first time to be called to the national team and it's safe to say he deserves it big time to gibe  his current form.

    Bbaale is however not the only one receiving his first national team call, players KCCA's midfielder Moses Waiswa, Wakiso Giants striker Shariph Kimbowa also got their first time call onto the natioanl team.

    Among the players left out of the squad include goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, Timothy Awany and Livingstone Mulondo both of which are defenders and forwards Sadat Anaku, Steven Sserwadda and Steven Mukwala.
