Lwasa has found himself swimming in debts and some of his properties are on the brink of being taken by banks where he contracted loans.

Masaka city businessman Emmanuel Lwasa Kaweesi has come public pleading to president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to extend him a financial hand so he can clear his debts.

Previously known for his luxurious lifestyle, Lwasa has found himself swimming in debts and some of his properties are on the brink of being taken by banks where he contracted loans.

While taking part in a televised interview on Wednesday evening, April, the skirt loving businessman appealed to President Museveni for help to clear everything.

The struggling businessman recounted how President Museveni had initially offered assistance during a visit to the area.

Unfortunately, the person who was put in charge of helping Lwasa was changed in the cabinet reshuffle. Since then, he does not pick up when the tycoon calls him.

Speaking on his predicament, Lwasa expressed uncertainty about any regrettable actions leading to his financial downfall.

He clarified that while securing loans might have been a contributing factor, they were primarily utilized to settle debts accrued during the construction of his building.

He has now gone down to his knees asking the President to follow up on the issue and help him from collapse.

“I’m appealing to President Museveni to follow up on my issue. He gave me the money to clear my loans. However, the person who was put in charge of my issue was changed. And since then, he hasn’t picked up my phone calls. I’m now stressed and suffering from high blood pressure,” he said while speaking to Sanyuka Tv's Uncut crew on April 3.

Lwasa Emmanuel went ahead to note that he is currently in the hospital over accumulated debts in hia businesses.

“I have been bedridden for a few days now and I don’t think i can take it again. President Museveni needs to come out and help me the person he gave me isn’t helping at all,” he said in the video seen by the reporter.

It would have been contracting the loans but he did so after finishing his building. The loans he took therefore were to clear off the debts incurred in constructing this building.

Important to recall is that Lwasa lived a rather large lifestyle in his heyday. He drove some of the most luxurious cars.

When it came to women, he changed them like skirts and dated some of the finest in the land. They even included celebrities such as Desire Luzinda, Diana Nabatanzi, and Zahara Toto among others.
