It has just been a few weeks since Her Excellency Suluha Hassan got into power but she is already doing the work that needs to be done.
She has suspended ports authority director general Kakoko for being involved with the theft of 3.6 billion Tanzanian shillings.
This money was obtained from importation and exportation business.
Tanzania's has the second busiest port in East Africa and receives over 1000 imports and exports.
Madam president has already gotten praise from members of the East African community who have commended her for her honesty and putting country before self.
Many Kenyans and Ugandans have compared this action to their countries saying the culprit would instead be promoted to a higher job for stealing money.
It seems the sister countries (Kenya and Uganda) have a lot to learn and still have a long way to go.
