The states of Israel and Palestine have long had conflicts staging back to only six days after the nations formation in 1948 after the declaration of then first Prime minister David Ben Gurion and here is a brief history of how the nations came to be at logger heads.
It should be remembered in the religious books that God had promised his faithful flock that is the grand children of Abraham the promised land of Canaan located east of River Jordan which today denotes a very big conflict but this all should be blamed due the the series of leadership that the Canaan land has faced.
After the settlement of the Abraham's children in the promised land there arose conflict between them and the unholy nations and this saw Israel getting conquered by the Babylonians which came hand in hand with the destruction of Solomon's temple and inorder for the Babylonians to consolidate their rule, the Israelites were subjected to massive intermarriages and this later weakened their customs and culture but was only the beginning.
In the 522B.C the Babylon rule was over thrown and the Assyrians took leadership of territory. They controlled majority of the land and they subjected the Israelites to massive torture and purging which saw many of them spread to other parts of Europe inorder to escape persecution and this further led to loss of their identity.
ln no time, the tide changed and the Middle East was now under the control of the Ottoman Empire which was established around the 14th century. Unlike the past rulers, the Ottoman Empire which was dominated by the muslim Turks gave the Israelites freedom of worship and they were free carry out trade with throughout the empire but with the growing imperialism in Europe, the purging of the Jews recommenced with the decline of the Ottoman Empire which was often referred to as the sick man of Europe and this led to further scattering of the Israelites as they were taken as outcasts and blamed for the crucifixion of Jesus.
The outbreak of world war one also further saw the decline in Israeli and Jewish nationlism which arose concerns from the League of Nations which therefore decided that the Israelites be recognised as citizens wherever they were but this was never a lasting solution because they continued to face oppression which led to the birth of the Zionist movement activities that advocated for the formation of Israel in the Palestine muslim dominated territory and this was put into action by the UNO in 1947 which approved the establishment od the state and consequently the following year David Ben Gurion declared the state of Israel in the Moslem dominated territory which has sparked off numerous conflict with the current Israel-Hamas war numbering 7.
The question of peace in the middle East remains hanging as there has been multiple failure in settling the conflicts between the Arabs and the Jews.
This leaves the peace question in the middle East pending with no peace solution to be realised over the years only few sentiments of truce and rebirth of violence. So the question goes back to you...How do you think peace can be realised in the Middle East with peace between the Arabs and Israelis!!
