Thieves disguised as employees of the National Water and Sewerage corporation today entered a home of Chinese nationals in Kyamboggo and stole 80 million Uganda shillings.
The thieves included a lady and two men.
According to the video, they seem to ask one of the residents of the home to show them where the water meter is.
As the lady passes the man to show them the meter, one of the men strangles the lady and is held hostage.
They enter the house, pick the money and leave.
It is said that they might have known the house had money.
Police is investigating to look for them as they try to recover the money according to serial numbers on them.
This act has scared many Ugandans who are afraid that thieves will start using this tactic and are thus not willing to open their gates to these water employees in fear of not knowing the real ones and the fake ones.
No one was killed during the robbery.
