Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin Sredojevic "Micho" ealier today announced a 33man squad that's meant to prepare for the last group game of the AFCON2023 qualifiers.
Uganda Cranes is set to play against bottom placed Niger on the 7th of September at Grand Stade Marrakech in Morocco in a must win match if the biys are to make their qualifying chances any better. Uganda Cranes is currently in 3rd place of group F with 4points behind Tanzania and Algeria who're 2nd and 1st respectively.
Uganda's failure to capitalize on its chances took the team back to calcualtions once agian, as their win against Niger will only guarantee them a spot in next year's AFCON championship if Algeria beats neighbors Tanzania.
Notable inclusions in the provisional squad are youngster Ibrahim Kasule, who's currenlty playing for USA's side New York Red Bull B. Kasule has been so impresive that saw him win the MLS Next Pro Player of the Month award for July.
Another familiar addition to the squad is defender Bevis Mugabi, who had been out for close to three months having picked up an injury while playing for his club in Scotland thus making only 6appearances due to injuries.
