United Arab Emirates Government has allegedly stopped the issuance of 30 days visas, commonly known as Visit visas to Ugandans!
The development follows claims of Ugandan migrant workers stuck in Dubai and other areas of United Arab Emirates.
These claims caused alot of controversies in both these states. Earlier this month, Opposition politician Bobiwine's concert in Dubai that was aimed at raising funds to return some of these migrant workers was canceled over unknown reasons!
Its however noted that the same visa ban was stopped in other countries that include Ghana, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cameroon, Nigeria, Liberia, Burundi, Guinea, Gambia, Togo, DRC, Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, Congo, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Comoros and the Dominican Republic!
Sources further reveal that the main issue is far from Uganda alone, it has alot to do with Nigeria because of the influx of their migrant workers some of whom have continuously kept turning into criminals while there.
A source from Uganda's Ministry of Internal affairs that talked to local platform said that the Nigerian criminals in UAE had moved to forging Ugandan and other country passports to circumvent the law that prohibited all of them below age 40, something that could have caused the act!
