Hoping to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table are Arsenal who are set to face Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on the weekend, while Manchester City will also be hosting Wolves at the Etihad Stadium. Arsenal managed to win the North London Derby last weekend despite Tottenham trying to make a comeback in the second half of an exciting game which ended 2-3 in favour of Arsenal.
If Arsenal are to stand a chance to secure their first Premier League Title in 20 years, they will have to win all the remaining three matches and hope for Manchester City to stumble in some of their games.
Bournemouth suffered a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal in the reverse fixture, but since then Andoni Iraola has had tremendous success in transferring his style of play to the Bournemouth players, and only four teams have picked up more points in the league since Bournemouth notched their first win of the season on Matchday 10. They also head into this fixture with a win in their last match against Brighton (3-0) and aim to make a late charge for a European Club Football spot.
Jurrien Timber is hopeful of returning to the matchday squad this weekend after playing twice for Arsenal's U21s but won't be expected to start if he does come back into the squad.
Milos Kerkez is still serving a suspension after he was sent off in Bournemouth's 1-0 victory against Wolves. Dango Ouattara will likely continue at left-back in his absence. They will also be without Romain Faivre, Ryan Fredericks, Marcus Tavernier and Tyler Adams. Antoine Semenyo could miss out with a knee injury, as could Luis Sinisterra due to a hamstring issue.
Bournemouth may not be considered to be a difficult opponent for Arsenal but could be a potential banana skin for their title hopes with players like Dominic Solanke who may be a big threat infront of goal. However, Bournemouth's record against the league's best isn't promising at all. Thus, a seasoned Arsenal should secure another three points at the Emirates Stadium to put further pressure on Manchester City. A win in this game would provide Arsenal with more confidence as they prepare for their trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United next week.
