It is not a secret that women do not get along in the Ugandan music industry, and beyond. It is not just in the music industry however but rather it is a Worldwide problem(International cake). Let us not forget the time female artists have been on each other's necks, hating on each other to a point of releasing songs just to taunt each other.
If it wasn't Sheebah and Cindy, it was Sheebah and Spice Diana. If it wasn't the two it was someone else. It is quite clear that surviving the music industry in uganda has become a miracle of late.
There is a famous saying that goes 'when women start hating on someone or plan revenge on someone, even the devil himself sits down and starts taking notes.' Lydia Jazmine is actually trying to reveal that this statement is indeed true because she mentions that once a woman hates you, she really hates you with passion.
Lydia Jazmine has come out mention that female artistes are so evil and end up beefing someone so bad that they don't wish them even a thing as small as Instagram and Facebook likes. She mentioned that the rate at which female artistes beef each other is so scary that it may lag development of the Country's music industry.
"People beef each other quietly. They wish each other bad things. When you are better than them, they hate you. The space in the industry is enough for us all, but they never seem to acknowledge that." she said
She however mentioned that she believes that this situation can be solved. She as an artiste has urged local female artists to stop “beefing” and instead let their mutual hate die down so that the Ugandan music industry may move forward. She went ahead to mention that she only attends events of the good people and never turns up for events of people with poor character.
“I only attend events of people who are real. Where you don’t see me, those are not good people. Those who pretend to be good are the bad ones." She mentioned.
This takes us back to Lydia Jazmine not attending Spice Diana's Star girl EP Listener's event. Does this actually come to poke at Spice Diana as the one with a bad character?
