Pia Pounds was one of the few artists signed under Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Entertainment. Unfortunately, she did not stay for a long time. She quit and signed to Kuseim’s Banq Records after failing to drop a hit song. There were harsh rumors going on around about how Pia Pounds was letting Eddy Kenzo chew her beans and this is one of the major reasons why she had to quit the label.
However much she did not openly discuss this issue as she was still attached to the label, she only managed to speak out during an Interview once after she had left the label when reporters seemed too curious. They even went ahead to ask her about the real relationship between her and Eddy Kenzo as they said it was confusing to the media. This was when she came out to mention that she could not correct every one’s thinking but for her own peace, she had left.
Eddy Kenzo on the other hand has turned out to be one of the most Influencial musicians on the scene since his acts have always been appreciated internationally. After Eddy Kenzo’s Grammy nomination, Pia Pounds was asked if she ever regrets leaving Big Talent, and she said no. According to Pia Pounds, her breakthrough only happened when she left Big Talent.
“I don’t regret it. I even got my breakthrough after leaving. I am happy with Kuseim and Eddy Kenzo is one of our best friends. He sometimes advises us on how to do things better,” she said in an interview.
Evidence of this is solid since Pia Pounds dropped a collabo, “Tupaate” Remix with Eddy Kenzo after leaving his Record Label.
