National Unity Platform president, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu is one hell of a lucky man not simply due to his music and financial success, but also due to his wife, Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi.
As his wife, Barbie celebrates her 39th birthday, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a k.a Bobi Wine can not help feel like he only met his wife of over ten years yesterday.
In an almost poetic message, Bobi praised God for the many ups and downs he has had with his wife since despite everything, they have clung onto each other like glue.
He revealed that it is because of Barbie that he is the man he is now, which highly contrasts with the man he was back then.
The 'People power, Our Power slogan coiner shuddered to think of a world without a Barbie as she is such an inspiration to several and urged her to continue in the same spirit.
How they met.
Barbie and Bobi met in 2001 at the national theatre. Barbie was then in her s.6 while Bobi Wine was in his final year at Makerere University while acting in the drama "Lady will you marry me.?"
When Bobi approached her, asking to be friends, she was uncomfortable since she saw him as a bad gangster with dreadlocks.
However, when she found out he was a reggae artiste and a celebrity, she warned up to him and they became close.
In 2007, Barbie introduced Wine to her parents before the official mega wedding in 2011.
The two remain as tight as ever and are currently blessed with four healthy children.
