Busoga kingdom denies claims of firing Kyabazinga Nadiope Gabula IV
    • January 15, 2022 • 3 years ago

News has been spreading like a wild fire that Busoga Kingdom has come out to fire their beloved  Kyabazinga Nadiope Gábula IV  who took over the throne in 2014. A January 03 Notice and declaration  document has been going around  declaring that the chiefs have sacked their Kyabazinga.

According to different sources, the Busoga Katuukiro( prime minister)  was dissatisfied with their decision to fire the Kyabazinga so they came out to explain why the Chiefs had come up with such a decision.

Kawunhe Wakooli II , the chief of Bukooli chiefdom, one of the 11chiefdoms which elect the Kyabazinga said all Basoga should understand that in accordance to their powers they had chosen Edward Columbus Wambuzi Muloki of Bulamooji chiefdom as the new Kyabazinga.

They gave reasons like Gábula was turning the kingdom into a den of dishonest deals with a lot of hypocrisy and false accusations. Ayub Banamwita Waguma of Butembe chiefdom accused him of hypocrisy and stepping all over the chiefs as if he had made it in life. They also accused him of stealing and misusing of properties belonging to the chiefdoms hence the conclusion that they needed a new king.

Today, however, there has been an issued docent from the Busoga Kingdom denying all the claims in the previous document saying they had never even once thought of getting rid of their beloved Kyabazinga. They have asked the public to disregard the former document  and only focus on the one that has just been issued.
