A new report has come out today showing that the medical teams treating and taking care of COVID_19 at Entebbe Grade B hospital and other government hospitals around the country are not being paid.
Some of doctors and nurses at the Entebbe Grade B Hospital have said that they have not been paid for 5 whole months since July 2020.
The team in charge of paying them claims they have no funds but will pay them before the year ends.
These claims have come right after rumors of 2 billion Uganda shillings has gone missing.
This money was meant to buy equipment for testing and treating the virus.
Response from The ministry of health
Emmanuel Ainebyona, spokesperson of the Ministry of health says the ministry sent the salaries to the doctors and nurses but it could now be a problem of the supervisors that have not yet wired the salaries to the various bank accounts of the health workers
