Yesterday, the upcoming Kampala Lord Mayor, Jose Chameleone went to Eastern Uganda to perform at an MTN event that was to take place in Mbale District to be specific.
He said this was his first time to go back to this part of the country after a whopping 15 years and that this is where he shot his video for his famous "Jamila" song.
Jamila as a song is still up to date as one of the most popular songs that has ever been released in East Africa because it was a hit in all 3 East African countries at that time that included Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Given that it was sang in Kiswahili gave it an additional boost.
The song generally was talking about domestic violence and how bad it was and all this was portrayed in its video. This is how much memory Mbale brought to the 40-year-old musician.

But not all glitters is gold because when it reached night time, the memories instead became misery as the "Mateeka" hit maker lost his brand new iPhone to the thirsty Kifeesi gangs operating in Mbale.
It all happened when he threw himself as usual to the crowds in order to have good time with his fans, the legendary singer tried to announce his lost phone shortly after leaving the stage when he realised it was missing to an extent of even offering UGX.500,000 to who ever recovers it but all efforts were futile and he had to believe and leave without his phone.
